Resourcing Leadership and Faith Formation
I currently serve the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas as Director of College Missions and Leadership Formation for our work with college students and college-age young adults. You can read more about that work at our diocesan website.
My aim in this blogsite is to encourage and strengthen you in your leadership and faith formation - helping you follow Jesus, live true to God's call, and lead more effectively.
After working in two churches and completing my first round of graduate work I formed a coaching/consulting practice to help leaders, churches, and organizations get clarity and a path for living God's call and making their contribution.
Clients have asked me to help them design leadership development systems; coach their executive leaders; facilitate life-direction consultations; and facilitate strategic planning initiatives.
I've taught in adjunct roles with undergrads and graduate students at Lee University, Reformed Seminary, Fuller Seminary, and Bethel Seminary - and designed and led mentoring groups for college students and young adults in TN, AZ, VA, TX, and online.
I hold certifications in the Focused Living® Coaching Process, utilized by more than 15,000 people worldwide; the Tom Paterson™ StratOp Planning Process, used for over thirty years to enhance organizational alignment in industries worldwide; the Church MasterPlanning® Process; and the U-Cipher Executive and Team Development Assessment. I went back to Fuller and earned my Doctor of Ministry degree, concentrating my studies on leadership formation and enhancing church and organizational effectiveness.
I am coauthor, with Bobby Clinton, of the leadership commentary, Nehemiah: Focused Leadership, and recently completed the manuscript for my second book: Summoned: Stepping Up to Live and Lead With Jesus.
